New Barbie Bodies: Petite, Tall, & Curvy

Recently, Mattel released its first wave of new Fashionista Barbies that include three new body types - petite, tall, and curvy.  In this blog post, I have included comparisons of different Barbie bodies as well as some measurements.

Curvy Barbie was definitely the doll flying off the shelves around here.  More dolls are supposed to be released in May.  From what I can tell, there will be four different dolls of each body type.  Three boys are also in this wave.  I did not purchase a regular Fashionista Barbie in this line; thus, my comparison is to a similar doll I already own.

Although none are pictured, there are several dolls who have flat feet.  I did not see any separate fashions available in stores that specifically fit the petite, tall, and curvy types.  Some of the face screening and fashions are not that great, but I did not have high expectations since they are playline dolls.  I look forward to seeing OOAK dolls of the new body types.

Below are some approximate measurements of the doll types.
