Fancier Doll Pictures

Add some extra fancies to your photos with some items you likely already have in your home. If you don't have some of the items below, these will cost you very little and are temporary items that won't permanently alter your dolls. First, go through your jewelry box and find items you think would suit your dolls, such as necklaces with small charms. You can put the necklace on your doll, like pictured below, but just get a paperclip, piece of tape, etc. to hold it in place.

Want earrings on your dolls, but don't want to commit to holes in their ears? Put some loose rhinestones to good use by temporarily adhering them to your doll's ears. I used poster putty to stick the rhinestones on since it is nice and temporary, not super adhesive, and lacks color to dye doll skin.

Those are a couple of quick tips add a little extra flair to your dolls pics. Happy picture-taking!

New Designs for SD BJDs & Momoko

As I gear up for IFDC, I've been trying to make Momoko outfits that can more easily accommodate other 1:6 scale dolls.  The Momoko outfit below is one of them, which I think turned out pretty well.  I also made this darling pale pink dress and tweed cardigan with some embroidery and beading.  I'm glad I made two, because I definitely want to keep one of these.  I also noticed that I've had a big thing for pin tucks lately.

Peaks Wood's Goldie and Yeru

Not too long ago I decided to take the plunge into owning ball jointed dolls (BJDs). After buying my loved uber tiny Honee-B by Ruby Red Galleria, I wanted to go the completely opposite route and buy a very large BJD, a Peak's Woods Yeru. Beware -- Going onto a site to order a BJD may result in multiple expensive purchases! Well, I couldn't just have one doll, so I also got a Goldie. Below are pictures I took either immediately or shortly after their arrival. Be prepared to see a lot more BJD clothing available in my Etsy shop.

The New Wake Up Dolls

In adding to the Momoko collection, below are some pictures I took of the most recent Wake Up dolls (WUD). WUD011 has shorter hair, which is new for the Wake Up dolls. Both new dolls also have the fuller lip painting as seen on City in the Sea. I've noticed the fuller lip painting seems to be pretty popular. The little satin rompers are pretty adorable too. Personally, my favorite of the two new WUD would probably be WUD011 since she is a little unique with the short hair and face paint. I'm also a sucker for shiny silver things, like her romper.
