Back in November I posted several tube top/dress items I made, but I decided to do a second run with some other fabric I had on hand. The attire makes a great piece to go with many outfits and is perhaps one of the reasons I seem to make so many of them.

This Momoko had an extensive makeover for this modern Alice outfit. I enjoyed styling the beehive hair as well as making the wire glasses. It appears I made a foxy modern nerdy version of Alice, which makes sense given my personality. The tank top sports an illustration by John Tenniel from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1898).

An old Calvin Klein gray polo shirt can go to good use if I have good ideas, such as making a pullover vest and socks for another darling outfit for the Momoko dolls. My Silver Crescent Momoko is dressed in the outfit with a white turtle neck, black pleated skirt, black boots and the gray attire mentioned above.

Through the mountain of fabric, I found a lovely chiffon in a minty green with a similar light cotton fabric to match. Since I was doing the Sweets for Our Sweets collection, I figured this would fit the theme and make a great elegant dress. I also added a cream colored belt with a bow as a finishing touch. The Groovy Baby Momoko makes an excellent model with her olive green eyes. I later noticed that I probably got some inspiration for this dress from a Momoko STOC exclusive layered pink dress that I recently came across on the internet (see below).

Thank you iron on transfer sheets. After a couple of months of putting this outfit on the back burner, I finally figured out a satisfactory way of putting the zigzag pattern on this fabric to make this dress inspired by classic Charlie Brown shirt. Good grief, the Peanuts even inspire outfits for the darling Momoko dolls.
