Momoko Clothes, Gingham Dresses

Recently, I snagged some pretty similar fabrics and decided to make some dresses out of them.  There is a candlestick telephone in the background.  It was given to me by my grandmother when I was very young.  The phone and pearls are a nice touch to a somewhat dated yet modern experience for my Silver Crescent Momoko.

Momoko Clothes, Alice in Wonderland

Lately I've been trying to make outfits from characters in Alice in Wonderland.  Thus far, I have a Cheshire Cat and Alice outfit.  I hope to do other characters as well. I tried to make the Cheshire Cat outfit less a costume and more of inspired apparel.  The pockets on the hoodie are actual pockets and I made a little stuffed animal for both.  The Cheshire Cat outfit is made with more stressed materials, giving it a rebellious/punk look.

Momoko Clothes, Mastering the Khaki

Deciding to finally tackle the detailed patterns for jeans, I started with a pair of khaki shorts using the same pattern. It came out very well, but the other pair I was also making didn't survive. I should note the pants look a little big at the waist, but that's because I haven't put a snap on the back of them yet. The material used actually comes from a very old pair of women's khaki pants. I had a little material left over from cutting it up to make a quilt. I'm all about repurposing.
