Momoko Clothes, Casual Clothes/Errand Day

Deciding to take a break from the Sweets for Our Sweets collection, I wanted to make a casual outfit. After making it, I realized it went perfect with my doll laptop and coffee cup. It's like she having an errand day with her laptop and coffee in hand. I had some misgivings about buying Momoko Dash! After School, but she ended up being one of my favorites to dress up!

Momoko Clothes, Sweets for Our Sweets (part 2)

In addition to the candy cane outfit made recently in the Sweets for Our Sweets collection, I also made a Hostess cupcake outfit. The Momoko doll is wearing a chocolate brown tank top with lace to look like a Hostess cupcake as well as white worn boyfriend skinny jeans. I like to think she took the jeans from her boyfriend because she realized she would look better in them. All this talk of sweets lately makes me a little hungry.

Momoko Clothes, Sweets for Our Sweets (part 1)

Welcome to a world of attire inspired by sweets. I call it the Sweets for Our Sweets collection, where our loved dolls wear fashion inspired by well-known sugary treats. To start off this collection, a Momoko doll is modeling a lovely dress perfect for the holiday season, inspired by the one and only candy cane. Know of some other well-known sweet treats that would make great inspiration for an outfit? Reply to the post! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Momoko Clothes, Tuxedo Dress

Black and white can go a long way in design, so I decided to try making a black and white tuxedo dress. I love using little beads to look like buttons and all kinds of fancy lace in outfits. However, it would be nice if I could find some fancy lace for pretty cheap. I have trouble finding crafty things that come very small so they would work for doll clothes. I'm still on the hunt. Constant vigilance! Do you know of a great place to find crafty things that work well for trendy doll outfits? Reply to the feed! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Repurposing, Handmade Paper and Paint (Roses)

Using the recycled paper again, I made some smaller versions of the silhouette flowers work I posted about recently. The paintings measure 3-1/2 x 4-3/8 inches. A set of similar images put together on a wall is always nice. This work was made in a set of four. This time crimson acrylic paint was used to make silhouetted roses. In the spirit of repurposing/using recycled materials, a lot of the work is limited to paint I have on hand that will soon dry up and be thrown away anyway.
