A Happy Box Momoko from PetWORKs was deboxed today and redressed. Rather than quickly putting a new outfit on her like the Momoko 18HB sg in this post, I took a little more time finding an interesting ensemble for this Momoko. She is wearing a coat I made in my early sewing days from a pattern in a Doll Coordinate Recipe book, as well as a dress from an unknown maker. She is wearing shoes made for Momoko and a couple extra fun accessories.
In the midst of doing taxes, my doorbell rang to reveal the USPS delivered a very special package to me -- my new PetWORKs Happy Box 2018 Momoko dolls arrived! I always look forward to trying to get a Happy Box when they are offered and I was fortunate enough to get it this year.
Pictured is the Momoko 18HB sg version with the "Pale-Green x Silver Mix, Wolf-Short" hair, according to PetWORKs. I quickly redressed her and took her outside to get a couple photos. She is wearing a Clear Lan top, Barbie sunglasses and watch, Sekiguchi denim shorts, and PetWORKs Momoko shoes. She definitely needs an extra special outfit soon. I really love this doll. I even like the basic outfit that came with the doll. I wasn't sure about the haircut, but it grew on me when I saw her in person.
This tunic dress has a tiny bit of stretch in the blue floral print and can fit a variety of 1:6 scale fashion dolls. I thought it looked best on Poppy Parker. It has been confirmed to adequately fit Poppy Parker/Misaki/Amelie, Jenny, Momoko, Fashion Royalty, NuFace, Victoire Roux, FR Monogram, Dynamite Girls, Model Muse, Silkstone Barbie, Susie, and Liv dolls. Only one is available. Get yours in the shop while you can!
It is still dress up time around here and I have put together a few new fun ensembles for the doll cabinet. Above are two Momoko dressed in a variety of items, most of which is from Sekiguchi. The striped bag is from La Boutique. The brown shoes were originally from an Only Hearts doll set.
Below is a Pure Neemo decked out in all kinds of different Azone pieces. It might be a little hard to tell, but she has a sword. These dolls have a ton of articulation and are always fun to pose and dress.
It's dolly dress up time! I finally decided to go through the scary room of doll boxes, get organized, and scale down the collection. In the process, I pulled out some of my dolls and played dress up with items I want to keep. I realized I haven't really dressed dolls for fun in years. A large portion of my collection is used as models for fashions in the Etsy shop and they do not get much use otherwise.
Above is a Petworks Momoko in the vintage 1960s Red Flare Barbie outfit. It's a little big, but I LOVE the combination. Below are two Momoko dressed in lots of different pieces from Sekiguchi, Clear Lan, Azone, and Petworks.
