Bachelorette Party Craftiness

In an effort to provide a bachelorette party that coordinated with the colors of a friend's wedding, I decided to make the invitations and make them look a little more classy. A fun piece of advice when making cards - sew ribbon or fabric onto the cardstock. It definitely stands out. Making invites versus store-bought ones can also be handy because you don't have to write the same information multiple times. Since I had some extra paper after making the invites, I also made a notebook titled, "Notes for the Bride," in which people at the party can write personal messages to the bride to be. At the bottom of each page in the book is a little saying such as, "Last fling before the ring," among other more witty quotes. Another tip - consider looking online for some free fonts to make your cards extra unique.

All the fabulous invites have already been sent out, but these are the remainders.

Momoko Clothes, Fun Outfits!

After working on many different ideas, I finally came up with these two darling outfits. The first is another of my Alice and Wonderland inspirations of the Cheshire Cat. While using my typical black and magenta for Cheshire Cat outfits, this time I went for a punk/goth look. The Cheshire Cat graphic on the tube top actually comes from an illustration by John Tenniel from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1898). The second outfit was inspired by some pom poms I picked up at a local store. Also, I've been trying to experiment with different types of embroidery for doll clothes and I did the white thread embroidery at the bottom of the oversized sweater. Overall, I think these outfits turned out quite well.

Also, I'm going to be at IFDC this year with a sales table. If you are going to be there, be sure to stop by and check out lots of clothing designs and better sales than normally in my Etsy shop.

Momoko Clothes, Spring Attire (part 1)

Perhaps it is my longing for warmer weather, but the bright colors and smaller outfits that show more skin really put me in a better mood. Here are a couple dresses/tops created out of a basic pattern I use often. I have a lovely dress with a floral print coming up very soon. Also, I've started up crocheting again for scarves and things for the dolls. Exciting!
