Katniss Barbie, In Real Life

It's time to see that Katniss Barbie outside of her stock photos, my friends. Below are some images of the lovely doll in all her glory, right out of the box. I got her yesterday and just had to share. I also posted a pic of her nude to show the articulation and body type. The Mockingjay pin is sewn onto the pseudo-double layered jacket. What's up next? Well, the Girl on Fire dress fitted to Katniss Barbie, of course. Don't worry - I'll try to make enough to sell a few on Etsy. Support an artist! Visit my Etsy Shop. Don’t worry. Doll Leaves Flora is still coming. I've got plenty of great information for posts in the very near future.

Momoko, Safari of Dry Wind

Say hello to one of my new Momoko, Safari of Dry Wind. She comes with an uncommon shoe mold for Momoko and I simply love her straight blond hair. I'm also realizing I have a thing for blond dolls, may be because I'm blond too. There are a few shots of her below, with the jacket closed and open. If you are interested in buying one but wanted to see something else besides a stock photo, here you go. I noticed the fitted tube dress seems to want to slip off, so that is something to keep in mind if you want your doll's outfit to reach closer to perfection. The pics this time around seem fairly decent. The photography skills seem to be improving even though I haven't had too much time to learn more since it's convention season for me and I'm tied up with moving to a new home soon.

Misaki & Poppy Parker Oufits

Introducing Misaki and Poppy Parker outfits!  I only have one finished thus far, but there will be plenty more to come in the future.  I made the outfit just right so that it seems to fit a variety of 1:6 scale dolls, but it was specifically fitted on a Misaki. As pictured below, the outfit seems to fit Momoko pretty well. Support an artist! Visit my Etsy Shop. What's next? I'll be showing off a new BJD - Doll Leaves Flora.

Stardoll Clothes/Accessories for Other Dolls

There was a great sale online a while back and I decided to pick up an accessory pack for Stardoll by Barbie to see if it would fit any other dolls. I really liked some of the clothing/accessories and felt like they were a little less Barbie uber pink and childish. To my surprise, Stardoll items fit a range of dolls, which I will cover some below. Want a few different options for those beloved Monster High (MH) dolls? Stardoll shoes fit Monster High dolls! Some of the shoes might cause the heels of the MH dolls to poke out just a bit, but nothing to fret about, really. Some of the accessories even fit MH dolls. I have listed some of these items in the pictures.

Some accessories even fit Momoko, J-doll, Pullip and a variety of other 1:6 scale dolls, but the kicker is that Stardoll clothing fits Momoko almost perfectly. See some of the pics below. If you want an affordable new outfit for your Momoko, consider Stardoll items.

Fancier Doll Pictures

Add some extra fancies to your photos with some items you likely already have in your home. If you don't have some of the items below, these will cost you very little and are temporary items that won't permanently alter your dolls. First, go through your jewelry box and find items you think would suit your dolls, such as necklaces with small charms. You can put the necklace on your doll, like pictured below, but just get a paperclip, piece of tape, etc. to hold it in place.

Want earrings on your dolls, but don't want to commit to holes in their ears? Put some loose rhinestones to good use by temporarily adhering them to your doll's ears. I used poster putty to stick the rhinestones on since it is nice and temporary, not super adhesive, and lacks color to dye doll skin.

Those are a couple of quick tips add a little extra flair to your dolls pics. Happy picture-taking!
