Wedding Smile Momoko

The Momoko being looked at today is called Wedding Smile.  Please see in real-life photos below.  Sekiguchi mentions Wedding Smile is a doll in, “natural and simple wedding style.”  I completely agree.  She is dressed in simple beautiful white fabrics, including an eyelet fabric to complete the entire dress.  Her dress tapers down in the back, perhaps alluding to a formal wedding train. Personally, I love this doll, but I am also biased toward white clothing.  Also, it is the first time I have seen that little straw hat pop up on Momoko dolls and it is simply fabulous.

What do you think of the doll?  Is she smiling to you?  Post about it on the Facebook page.

Berry Hunter Momoko

When I first started collecting Momoko dolls, Berry Hunter was at the top of my list.  Perhaps it is because she comes with glasses and I just love those little dolly specs.  It has been a while, but I finally got around to getting Berry Hunter and she is all that and a bag of chips.  Her overall jeans are pretty tight, even for a Momoko, but those little usable pockets are just great. There is something sweet about this doll that makes her a special part of my collection.  What do you think of Berry Hunter?  Post about it on the Facebook page.

Also, get ready for that pattern book.  It will be out very soon.

Breath of Spring CCS Momoko

The two 13SP "Breath of Spring" Momoko arrived today and I was simply thrilled.  I haven't had a chance to get a CCS Momoko lately, but I was pleasantly surprised by the new box style, which seems more eco-friendly.  Check out the photos below for real-life pics of the dolls. First up is Cranberry Tea.  Naturally, she has the cranberry colored knit one-piece dress and darker hair.  Her two-tone hair is very subtle.  She is very sweet.

Next up is Hazelnut Latte.  I was on the fence about his lady at first, but I'm glad I decided to order both because she is certainly one of my fav Momoko yet.  The higher contrast two-tone hair is great, especially with the matching eyebrows and pale pink lips.  I noticed Latte's boots are a little more pliable, which I haven't seen in these STOC boots before.  If anything, I prefer this style because they are easier to get on and off the doll.

The temperature dropped in my area today, making me want some tea or coffee all the more.

British Boy Style Momoko

Today's new Momoko fresh out of the box is British Boy Style.  Let's take a closer look at her. Firstly, I noticed her dark colored socks, bow tie, beret, and shoes were packaged separately and not dressed on the body.  This, in my opinion, was a smart move on Sekiguchi's part since there have been issues with clothing dye staining dolls in the past.

Among all her cute clothing and accessories, my favorite certainly has to be the darling printed argyle sweater.  The argyle pattern is not woven into the fabric.  She has great slightly crimped red hair.  Her eyes are blue, which might be a bit hard to see in my pictures.  I did not remove the plastic wrapping on certain parts of her body, which you may see in the images as well.

What do you think?  Post about it on the Facebook page.

Some Petworks Momoko Dolls

My collection of Momoko is primarily Sekiguchi dolls, but I've recently acquired a few more Petworks dolls and wanted to give them a little fashion shoot. First up is MoMorning Frost, Lemon Sorbet, and Mint Jelly Momokorning Frost. Made in 2012, she has short blond hair and is decked out in her original outfit and boots. The darling part is her subtle freckles.  Something tells me she is going to look great in new outfits.

Next are two Momoko from the 2010 Alice's Sweets collection -- Mint Jelly and Lemon Sorbet. Lemon Sorbet has yellow hair and is in her original outfit.  She came with a darling little stuffed bunny.  Mint Jelly is probably one of my favorites. While I used to be more of a fan of natural looking dolls with normal hair colors and sweet faces, Mint Jelly won my heart with that great hair color. Perhaps it is also because her hair is very opaque, reminding me more of a true pastel color. She is not dressed in her original outfit, but sports a variety of Petworks/Seki apparel and accessories.
