Wake Up Call for Wake Up Dolls

We all have our own ways of collecting. My personal Momoko doll collection seems to come from good deals and discounts and a little less from those more expensive very limited must-haves. While I drool over those higher-priced coveted dolls, I'm also very content with my larger supply of dolls because I feel less guilty to cut their hair, change their make-up and so forth. Wake Up Momoko tend to be the cheapest, obviously because they come with much less and, often, quite a few are made. I realized the other day that I had almost all the Wake Up dolls to date and what better way to say I'm completing a collection than by collecting all the Wake Up dolls since I already have most? I just got the last two in the mail recently and below are some pics of all the Wake Up Momoko available to date. They are in order from left to right, WUD001 to WUD010.

I'm looking forward to the new releases.

Queen of Hearts and More

Below are some images of my new Queen of Hearts/Red Queen outfit based on the character from Alice in Wonderland. Also, I recently did a commission that turned out pretty great and makes me want to make razor back tank tops now.

Matching Momoko & Honee-B

Recently, I discovered this navy polka dot fabric and thought it would make great doll dresses. I took it a step even further and made dresses for different kinds of dolls, so now they all look like they are matching! I think I inspired myself to do a whole new set of doll clothing.

The Art of Home Taking Off

It's been a while. I've started a new local sewing group, The Art of Home Sewing Guild, and we have been having tons of fun! We are an eco-friendly group inspired to make lovely items out of new and like new second-hand and remnant items (typically at least 50% upcycled/reused products). All of our products try to provide a green alternative for our homes to save our planet. Thus far the group has been doing quilting from of a variety of different fabrics I've collected that don't really work for doll clothes. Below are some pics of the quilts. It's a great way to use up fabric, but get something artsy and useful out of it.

Momoko and Honee-B Outfits!

I recently finished a commissioned a Momoko outfit of a Fatal Frame 4 character named Asou Misaki.  A couple pictures are below with a picture of the character in the game.  I think it turned out quite well.  It makes me want to make more doll clothes with sheer qualities in the fabric. Also, I've finally got a hold on Honee-B sizes and make a little red dress for her.  She is just so cute and I can't wait to buy her more wigs and accessories!

Stay tuned for some new Alice in Wonderland outfits. I'm branching out to the Queen of Hearts, young and younger.
