Beautiful Lines Momoko

When this Momoko came out a while back, I was in love with the different collar choices.  I finally got around to purchasing her and taking some photographs.  Below are real-life photos of her.  There is still saran wrap on her body from the packaging since I didn't want to remove it. An interesting note about this particular Momoko is that her collars are quite delicate.  I broke the white lace one within minutes of opening the box, but it was, fortunately, easy to repair.  Also, it appears the pale pink collar could be a tad larger since it doesn't seem to go all the way down to the collar seam of the dress.

What do you think?  Post about it on the Facebook page.  The outfit is sure a winner for me.

Mauve Maiden Momoko, In Real Life

The Mauve Maiden (13AN Home) Momoko arrived yesterday with her cute little shoes and detachable collar.  I was surprised when I opened the box to see a green-colored dress.  I don't know why I missed that, but it was a great surprise.  After hanging out with her for a short while and taking photos, I realized she reminds me a bit of Christmas, perhaps because of the evergreen color in her eyes and dress.  Her name may note her mauve accents, but she's all about the green for me. CCS 13SM Home Momoko, IRL

The CCS 13SM Home Momoko is out of the box and ready for some quick photos.  I opted for the "white" version of the doll because I just love Momoko flats.  I finally have a pair of yellow flat that I have been seeking for quite a while!  Her sister is the "gray" version and comes with black boots. This Momoko appears to have much more noticable opaque lip paint than in the stock photos.  Not that I'm complaining, I actually like it quite a bit more.  Her fingernails are a bright green.  I had her push her bangs out of the way to get a close up of her eyebrows and eyelashes.  She comes in a very over-sized shirt that reads, "DON'T COUNT YOUR DOLLS."  It's an appropriate recommendation at this point.

OOAK Momoko in Blue Gown

Well, I'm back from IFDC 2013 and it's time to get back to business.  This lovely OOAK Momoko, made by yours truly, was originally Sekiguchi Wake-Up #006.  After having quite a fun time restyling her hair and adding a white flower, I added darker black eyeliner and pink fingernail paint.  Her gown is made from a pale blue acetate-like fabric with beading and flowery applique.  To put it all together, she has a bit of white fur to put over her shoulders.  Perhaps from here on out we will see more fancy up-dos and flowing gowns on this blog more often. What do you think of the doll?  Post about it on the Facebook page.

Beach Angel Momoko

Next up, a Momoko named Beach Angel.  She decided to hang out by the pool and model her great clothes. This Momoko definitely has some features that need to be highlighted.  First off, her white ruffled swimsuit has a great touch as it appears to actually be made out of swimsuit fabric like a spandex and nylon blend.  Also, those turquoise colored beads are a great touch for photoshoots near a blue-colored pool.

Her face make-up appears to be a bit different.  Her blush is nice and bright on her face and the crease for her eyelid is prominent, making the features of this Momoko more defined.  I didn't notice her shimmer eyeshadow up to the brow until I was in the sunlight.  It is quite lovely.  Her hair matches her eyes, giving her a sun-kissed look.  This lady is really a beauty.

While I might not be a fan of the yellow front-tie tank, it is totally redeemed by matching with the yellow bow on the clear flats.  That's right, clear flats!  The flats are made of a slightly different material compared to the typical Momoko flat.  They seem to be a bit more bendable, almost like a jelly shoe.  These shoes also make the doll totally worth having.
